Hello Barrel Racers, we hope 2020 is treating all of you well so far, and you are getting ready for this years’ barrel racing season! The Glow is sad to announce that we will have to postpone The Glow 2020 until 2021. Our Family Business is making some major changes and the time involved with these decisions has been very time consuming. The work involved in these transitions has taken time away from the preparations for The Glow and after careful consideration and much time contemplating, we have decided it would not be in the best interest of the Event to proceed for 2020. We have full intention to produce the Event in 2021 but feel we just aren’t in a position to be able to produce the Event this year with our limited time. We want the Event to continue to be produced with the highest of standards which takes considerable man hours and we just won’t have them this year. We are so appreciative for all your support of this Event and hope you will join us again in 2021. All Slot Renewal Fees and Sponsorship monies have been returned. Slot List will remain the same for 2021. ALL volunteer Slots will roll to 2021, as will the volunteer Free Entries. We want to keep the same Event for 2021. The tentative dates for our 2021 Event are September 8 to 12, 2021. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and hope you understand that this was a very hard decision for us as we love producing The Glow! We wish all of you the Best and hope to see you in 2021!

THE GLOW Slot, 4D & Charity Barrel Racing Event is Canada’s largest Annual Barrel Racing Event of its kind! BC’s first ever 100% payback, 4D Equal Payout Slot Race offers 250 Slots for $250 each to barrel racers from all over BC, Alberta, and the northern states the chance to run for $62,500 prize money in the slot race alone!
There were 906 runs made over the weekend with a total of $94,500 awarded in Prize money! Plus, over $110,000 in prizes, awards and vouchers were given away at this Event! We certainly couldn't do it with out the generous support of all our Sponsors! Thank you so much for making this Event such a huge success!
The 2nd Annual Bill Robinson Memorial Keeping the Dream Alive 2D Futurity with $4238 Added & 2D Derby with $2369 Added Money had a total combined payout of $14831!  Bill & Heidi Robinson of Wildwood Ranches have been supporters of our Event from the beginning and were instrumental in the planning of these two races. Watch for the Wildwood Ranches Incentive horses at our 2020 Event!
The Glow’s signature Glow In The Dark Charity Barrel Race is definitely the most fun you can have Barrel Racing in the Dark! Spectators can watch Barrel Racers of all ages and abilities race in a “glowing” arena while raising money for one Barrel Racer who has fallen on hard times. Barrel Racers helping Barrel Racers by Barrel Racing! The 2019 recipient chosen by the racers was Don Johnston. This husband, father and all-around cowboy was thrown from a horse and broke his back in 2 places. As a farrier to so many in our Barrel Racing community, he will not be able to work for a quite some time. His lovely wife, Kerry, is working and looking after the family and the Ranch. We all wish Don a speedy recovery and hope the $770 raised from our Event will help in some small way.2019 Slot Race Winners:

This facility has been used by a wide variety of equestrians from many disciplines for many years. The venue for The Glow offers: two indoor arenas (the main competition arena and a warm up arena), one outdoor Rodeo arena, indoor stalls, outdoor pens, RV Electric Camping, Dry Camping with free self penning, wash racks, indoor bathrooms and showers, vendor areas for our Sponsors, and an onsite concession. The facility is located in the city of Chilliwack, with many restaurants and accommodations near by. The main competition arena  is 120’ x 225 plus a holding pen. The ground conditions have always been safe and constant.
